Funny Girl

The Wee One is in her 11th month now. She is doing all the typical things for her age, but she definately has a personality all her own. I think she is somehow channeling a puppy. She follows faithfully, she barks, she pants, she loves balls...hum. Actually my favorite thing that she does these days is her supportive cheer. Whenever she hears clapping or cheering she throws one or both hands in the air and usually follows that up with a "Whooo". It's adorable.

She seems to really love music. Don't know where she got her rhythmic abilities since The Husband and I are definately not the most talented dancing pair out there, but this girl knows her beats and loves to move to them. Her favorite song these days is the Lollipop song on the Dell comercial. I had to find it on my playlist so she could listen to it more often. She will stop whatever she is doing (even falling asleep) and perk up to listen to the song and dance along.

Back to blogging!

At least I hope to get back to this. I am constantly inspired by my dear friend in Omaha who blogs on a regular basis (check on http://www.momontherocks.com/). While in no way do I feel I am as humerous as she is, I can be funny on occasion and if nothing else, this gives me an outlet for my craziness.

I will try to write about things that someone might find interesting, but I make no promises. Some will be short, some will be long...it all depends on my mood that day I suppose.

For a quick update on my life: The Wee One is 11 months old this month. We are living in the middle of nowhere (literally, there is a museum here called No Man's Land). The Husband is an actual professor. I am teaching part-time and learning to be a stay-at-home mom. Thinking about getting into the craft world in the form of mosaics...that should be an interesting experience! HA!

FYI - I am watching Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure as I type this and it is AWESOME!

That's about it for now...

Getting Settled

Okay, so I come from a history of moving. In my childhood it was moving homes, as an adult I have added moving in the form of travel to my repitore. I have just moved into another new home, making this my 6th move in 6 years. Rediculous! Additionally, we (the immediate fam) have recently returned from a month long roadtrip, hitting 8 states, numberous national parks, and several state capitols. I'll write about the trip later.

Needless to say, I am ready to be settled for a while. The house is getting closer to being put together and once it is, I vow to stay here for at least 2 years! Don't get me wrong, I love being on the go, but a little continuity would be nice as well, right?
