The Campus Is Alive With The Sounds Of Music

Last night I had my first choir concert in something like 12 years (I have been in a few church choirs, but not the same). The Wee One and The Husband came to watch and as expected got to spend the majority of the time in the lobby. There was one door to the auditorium open so The Wee One would run through the lobby and try to get into the auditorium. A lot of good exercise for The Husband. HA! Apparently, when she saw me on the stage, she pointed and said "Momma" which made my heart melt when I heard that.

I feel like we did a good job. It is always hard to really get a good assessment when you are in the choir because you don't hear the entire group the same way the audience does. That said, I really do think it was a good concert. If nothing else, it was a nice thing for me. I love singing and it is so fun to have this outlet again.

I was intimidated when I first started back this semester, but now I am feeling fairly confident in my abilities again. Still working on those high notes, but getting there. Last night I can honestly say that I didn't feel nervous about the concert. A few weeks ago, I would have.

So overall, I will claim success for the night!
